"post-nap haze"
uses the varying timbres of quarter tones on the clarinet to evoke the hazy, groggy feeling of waking up from an afternoon nap. The piece begins with a slow , expressive section representing the first moments of slowly waking up before slowly speeding up to a steady groove, while still keeping the "groggy" feeling, as if someone is being forced to go about their daily activities while still tired from the nap. The piece concludes with a return to the slow section before a wild finish.
