Along the White Pass

This piece takes inspiration from a train ride I took on the White Pass and Yukon route in Skagway, AK in October 2023. The recurring rhythmic motives throughout (appearing in 3/4, 7/8, and 6/8 meters) come directly from the sound of the train moving along the tracks and serve as the foundation of the piece. The rest of the material throughout the piece evoke the beauty and grandeur of the scenery during this trip.
