SIGNAL CHAIN is written to be performed with digital effects pedals, specifically distortion, chorus, phaser, and delay. The first three movements can be played without the effect, though it is highly encouraged to play with the effects pedals if possible. The final movement must be performed with a delay pedal to achieve the full effect. If necessary, the delay can be achieved through a software program like MAX or a DAW . A noise gate is also recommended to silence any extraneous noise such as key clicks and breaths. The signal chain on the pedalboard should be as follows:
Noise Gate - Distortion - Chorus - Phaser - Delay - Reverb (optional for final three movements only)
